Tooth whitening is a Myth. It can never be safe.
Issues related to health and medicines have been woven around myths, which from centuries have passed from one generation to another. Oral care which have gained importance since mankind upbringing got sophisticated has evolved around lot of stories and myths and thereby the excessive use of home remedies and natural cures for the burgeoning oral and dental problems.
Thus a simple yet powerful question emerges in front of all of us that, is tooth whitening safe? What nature has bestowed can never be duplicated. So is the case of human body. One thing should definitely be considered that today teeth whitening products use very mild solutions, which not only cleanses, scrubs and wipe the plaque but also gives a gloss and brightness to your pale teeth. These gels which used regularly have proven to give far reaching consequences, which have been approved even by the dentists and clinical specialists.
The question related to teeth safety is debatable in itself. First and foremost safety parameters need to be defined. If using the safe teeth whitening product, home remedy, and any approved chemical or gel spoils teeth further or lead to tooth decay and tooth fall, then the issue is serious. But what if you are not following the instructions, or in haste of whitening teeth overdoing the prescribed dosage? It is very convenient to raise fingers at others, but what is more important is to understand the exact usage, method and mode of using any chemical on your body.
Teeth whitening are 100% safe, if done properly with an appropriate substance under an expert guidance. Here we do not highlight the importance of growing oral care centres, yet we simply want to establish the fact that on our face teeth has a very prominent presence and for proper intake of food they serve a very important purpose. If we are blessed with 32 set of teeth, we ought to take care of them and its no fault if we use any safe teeth whitening product or refer to any known dentist.
We really need to understand that teeth whitening are purely logical, safe and clinically approved. It does not strips of enamel from your tooth. If done properly teeth whitening can also yield permanent results, which need to be given mild treatments aftermath. Homemade Remedies To Whiten Teeth
Who doesn’t likes sparkling white teeth just as the models and the movie stars on the television? Obviously everyone does, but not many are able to get the desired results as either the bill associated with the teeth whitening sessions at the dentists’ is too huge or the claims made by various teeth whitening products come out to be false. So what does one do to get shiny white teeth in a cheap but effective manner? Here, the home remedies for whitening teeth come in handy and as a matter of fact, these methods are not only cheap and effective, they are safe too. These home made remedies of teeth whitening are discussed as below:
Remedy 1: this remedy is of a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. A paste by mixing 2 teaspoons each of the said products is made. The thickness of the paste should be like the consistency of toothpaste. To add taste to the mixture, little bit of toothpaste or a small amount of mint can be added. This teeth whitening remedy is effective and should be used either once or twice in a week by applying like toothpaste and leaving the mixture for a few minutes.
Remedy 2: teeth stains can be removed by applying a paste of a pinch of baking soda with a few drops of lime juice. This paste is applied and gently massaged to get stain free teeth.
Remedy 3: another simple yet effective home remedy is to rub the inside of the orange peels to remove stains from the teeth. This method is not only effective but also safe and does not damage the enamel.
Remedy 4: a mixture of baking soda with hydrogen peroxide also serves as a home made teeth whitening remedy. Hydrogen peroxide is greatly efficient in reducing stains from the teeth thus bringing back the shine that is lost due to discoloration. This mixture can be used twice a week but as peroxide contains chemicals it must not be swallowed.
Remedy 5: another homemade remedy to whiten teeth is a paste of lemon juice and salt. One teaspoon each of both the products is taken to form the paste which exfoliates and remove stains. However the paste should not be overused as the enamel can be eaten away by the acid in the lemon juice.
Remedy 6: crushed strawberries are a natural teeth whitener and occasionally can be used in place of toothpaste. The strawberries contain certain enzymes that act as a natural teeth whitener.
Remedy 7: another simple home made remedy for teeth whitening is to brush the teeth with normal toothpaste and then scrub them with a cloth dipped in extra virgin olive oil.
Therefore these are some of the simple homemade remedies to whiten teeth. However after using them it is essential to avoid some of the causes that lead to the discoloration of the teeth. This includes excessive intake of tea, coffee, tobacco and wine. Also care should be taken when using the peroxide as a teeth whitener as its excessive usage can cause hurt the gums and enamel. Also it should never be swallowed.
